A daily routine that repeats the same way like a squirrel running on a wheel.
There is no realization that it's boring. Just living the familiar day familiarly.
As a civil servant with a stable income, he has no dating experience and doesn't particularly think about getting married. He has no family to support and not many friends either.
Others may see his life as desolate, but he was fairly satisfied. Rather, it's fortunate that there are no troubles or tiring matters.
A tranquil life like a still lake. Just peaceful and uneventful.
After getting off work, he returns to his apartment, has convenience store lunchboxes for dinner, and sometimes orders delivery food.
On weekends, he lies on the sofa immersed in movies or dramas, reads books at the library, or takes walks in the park.
He doesn't drink or smoke. But he does play games.
Games were quite a stimulating activity in his life.
What he liked most was games where he could adventure in unfamiliar worlds.
Following the narrative of the characters and adventuring in strange worlds was quite enjoyable. Even though he had never actually been outside his neighborhood.
Recently, he cleared a game he had been enjoying and saw the ending, and today he started a new game.
It was a game where you could freely adventure in a fantasy world with swords, magic, different races, and monsters - just his taste.
When he ran the game, a character selection screen appeared along with a refreshing BGM.
It wasn't character creation, but selection.
There was no customization. You just had to choose from pre-set characters.
There were five character types,
Warrior, Thief, Archer, Mage, Cleric.
Without hesitation, he chose Mage. When playing these kinds of games, he always chose Mage.
It was because he liked area-of-effect magic. Using AoE magic to mow down mobs gave him a slight thrill.
He had high expectations for this game as the graphics were outstanding.
The only downside was that the Mage character was female.
He stared blankly at the character.
The character's name was Ariel.
Silver hair and red eyes. With pointed ears, she must be an elf.
Her height and body were petite. She looked too young to be called a beautiful girl.
He hesitated a bit. She was cute, but his preference leaned towards more reliable and dignified characters.
That way, he wouldn't feel uneasy while adventuring. Well, it was just a game anyway, and appearance didn't really matter. But that was his sensibility.
'Can't be helped.'
He let out a small sigh and selected 'Ariel'.

Initially, 10 stat points were given.
You can freely invest them to choose which areas your character will be strong in.
The description says investing in Strength and Intelligence increases Attack, while investing in Agility and Vitality increases Defense.
He decided to increase his Attack. It's advantageous to raise Attack at the start. That way, he can progress through the story and level up. He can slowly raise Defense later.
Since he's a Mage, he doesn't need Strength, so he invested everything into Intelligence.
As Intelligence increased, Attack also increased.
Both at the same 10 rate.
He tried to create the character. He wanted to adventure in the fantasy world quickly.
But then, he saw the Intelligence stat changing.
20, 30, 40, 50...
Intelligence was rapidly increasing.
200, 300, 400, 500...
Attack was also increasing at the same rate.
2000, 3000, 4000...
It was endless.
It was absurd and a bit scary.

The ever-increasing Intelligence and Attack eventually changed to these numbers.
Intelligence: 9999999...
Attack: 9999999...
He looked at the screen with a deflated feeling.
It seemed to have hit a bug. Well, it was a simple issue. Restarting the game would fix it.
He tried to force quit the game.
But right before, he stopped his hand and looked at the screen again.
For some reason, he wanted to start the game like this once.
The game may become boring, but his goal was adventure, not character growth.
With such overwhelming Attack power, wouldn't adventuring be easier?
'Let's go with this.'
He gripped the mouse with determination, about to click the character creation complete button.
But then, something else caught his eye again.
Stat Points: 10
"?"
He had already spent the given stat points, investing everything into Intelligence, changing it to 0.
But why was it 10 again?
He decided not to think too hard about it. It was bugged anyway. Regardless of what happened, since stat points were given, he'd just raise them again.
This time, he added everything to Vitality.
As Vitality increased, so did Defense.
And the same thing happened again.
100, 200, 300, 400...
The Vitality stat endlessly increased. Defense was also rising accordingly.
Now a bit used to it, he folded his arms and calmly watched the screen.
Strength: 0
Agility: 0
Vitality: 9999999...
Intelligence: 9999999...
Attack: 9999999...
Defense: 9999999...
Vitality, Intelligence, Attack, and Defense had reached infinity.
However, Strength and Agility were still 0.
He felt a bit unsatisfied. He wanted all the stats to be the same number out of compulsion.
As if sensing that desire, the stat points changed to 10 again.
'Good.'
Satisfied, he equally invested into Strength and Agility as well.
And so, the all-stats infinite character was created.

He nodded his head in satisfaction.
An all-stats infinite character. How strong would it be?
At this level, the class didn't matter.
He could one-shot even as a Cleric.
But then, did he really need to be a Mage?
Should he change to a dignified Warrior character?
He had that thought but shook his head.
If he went back to the character select screen, the bug might get fixed. Plus, it would be bothersome to raise the stats again.
'Let's go with this.'
With a determined expression, he moved the mouse and clicked the character creation complete button.
Click.
