Chapter 85: Who Goes There?
The east city gate captured the attention of most people in just an instant.
"Why won't you let me into the city!"
A figure, looking as if he had emerged from the depths of the mountains, clad in animal skins, stood over two meters tall, his muscles impressively robust.
To ordinary people standing before him, he seemed like a Giant.
One had to look up to face him.
His skin was dark, his muscles sharply defined, fierce—an explosive art form.
At that moment, rage was etched across his face. He had found a massive stone somewhere and was holding it tightly with both hands, slamming it against the city gate repeatedly while uttering continuous roars of anger.
Just the stone alone...
It must have weighed at least a hundred pounds.
It was a wonder how he had managed to lift it.
"Who goes there!"
A student from Mo Pavilion Academy, stranded outside, floated to the top of the city wall, his gaze icy as he watched the Giant below and spoke.
As his voice fell, a wave of invisible energy surged from him, pushing the Giant back.
"Mo Pavilion Academy called me here for an exam, I came, and now you block me at the door—what kind of reasoning is this!"
The man shouted loudly.
His voice was exceptionally booming.
"The word of Mo Pavilion Academy is the law!"
"If the city is sealed, then it's no longer accepting anyone!"
"Go back!"
The student said flatly, then turned to leave.
But the Giant’s eyes suddenly turned red, and he lifted the huge stone in his hands. For a moment, one could even see dark red lines moving continuously within his body.
No awakened item.
Not even any energy.
With a roar, the Giant once again lifted the stone and smashed it towards the city gate.
This time, the speed and force were about three times greater.
The loud crash echoed within the city walls, and one could even faintly hear the reverberations.
The city walls themselves trembled slightly.
As the Mo Pavilion Academy student looked on somewhat blankly, the city gate was smashed open, leaving a gap.
"Heh heh."
"This thing's really solid."
After casually tossing the boulder to the ground and expressing his amazement at the gate's durability, the Giant struggled to squeeze through the somewhat narrow opening.
The remaining students' eyes lit up, gratefully glancing at the Giant as they followed him into the city.
Seeing that the Mo Pavilion Academy student was still watching, the Giant glared: "What, is there a problem?"
"No problem."
The student took a deep breath and turned away.
About half an hour later, a team of workers arrived overnight to repair the city gate.
However, as for the incident of the Giant leading several students into the city, Mo Pavilion Academy seemed to turn a blind eye, completely ignoring it.
"Mo Pavilion Academy’s rules... are there no rules at all?"
Yu Sheng watched this scene from a distance, then glanced at the location of Mo Pavilion Academy and murmured to himself.
He had already guessed some of Mo Pavilion Academy's intentions.
Actually... it was quite similar to the model of Sin City.
Always stepping out of stereotypes, acting unpredictably and not by the book—often, this unexpected approach leads to victory.
That was probably the gist of it.
Pensive, Yu Sheng quietly left under the cover of night, but instead of returning to his hotel, he headed to the front gate of Mo Pavilion Academy and looked up.
In this modern city, Mo Pavilion Academy seemed somewhat out of place.
Because it resembled an ancient building more.
Red lacquered doors.

Traditional brick tiles.
Including blue bricks and separate courtyards, the grounds were vast, stretching as far as the eye could see.
And it was situated right in the center of Border City.
In the darkness, Yu Sheng's figure was busy, coming and going, perfectly concealing himself in the shadows, his movements covert.
It wasn't until two hours later that he finally turned and left, heading back to his hotel room to sleep.
What Yu Sheng did not know, however, was that someone had been sitting on the wall above all along.
This person, dressed in pajamas and leaning back as if he had fallen asleep, emitted not even a trace of human presence, more like an inanimate object, not even breathing.
Only his eyes were open, silently watching Yu Sheng's every move.
After Yu Sheng left, the man slowly sat up as if a statue had come to life, a lazy smile playing on his lips: "This kid... is quite interesting."
"Really ruthless."
"It seems this batch of students... might actually be interesting."
"Not like... not like these fools..."
As he watched a student hurriedly returning, the man's face darkened instantly.
What exactly had Mo Pavilion Academy taught them over the year?
They are like old antiques!
The gate is closed, and you don't think to jump over the wall?
You have to go through the door?
You deserve the hardship!
The man gave a pitiful look to the student, then sneered, jumped down from the wall, humming a tune on his way back to his dormitory.
As for the little things Yu Sheng left behind...
What did they have to do with him?
...
Early morning.
It was just around six o'clock when Yu Sheng opened his eyes.
He gently wiped the dagger in his hand, the crossbow, and polished the fishing line by the bedside again.
Over the years, Yu Sheng had polished that fishing line so fine that it was nearly invisible unless looked at closely.
And though its exact material was unknown, it remained incredibly tough and sharp.
He wrapped the fishing line around his sleeve.
Put the dagger in place.
Making sure nothing was missed, Yu Sheng got up.
Meanwhile, Zhao Zicheng was still sprawled in bed, his snores thunderous.
It was hard to imagine such a handsome guy could snore so ungracefully.
Just as one might find it hard to believe that fairies don't subsist on dew.
Standing at the doorway, Yu Sheng thought carefully for a moment and finally decided to call out, "Get up, it's time for the assessment."
But... the volume of Yu Sheng's voice was far from sufficient to wake Zhao Zicheng.
Not bothering to try again.
Yu Sheng took out a small porcelain bottle, opened it, and tossed it onto Zhao Zicheng's bed from a distance, then decisively turned and left.
He closed the door behind him.
Leaning against the wall, he waited quietly.
About half a minute later...
A wail emerged from the room.
"Yu Boss, did you shit on my bed?"
"Shit!"
"It's so damn stinky!"
The room was noisy, and ten seconds later, Zhao Zicheng appeared at the door, his expression bizarre as he looked at Yu Sheng.
Even... a bit terrified.
He knew Yu Sheng could be a bit twisted, but he hadn't expected... to this extent.
Shitting on the bed?
